I Got My Groove On
I tried something new at the gym yesterday... a dance class called Body and Soul. It was a full hour of FAST moving salsa and hip hop dancing, something I have never done before (and it showed). The instructor is an adorable, petite Hispanic woman who also teaches belly dancing, so she can shake her groove thing without any problem. Me? I'm more akin to a gorilla. Still, it was a blast and I'll try it again. My heart rate stayed UP the entire time and I probably burned several hundred calories, plus I logged 6,000 steps on my pedometer. Not a bad way to spend an hour, except for the embarrassment factor.
